Camber adjustment vs original struts
Hi everyone,

I have a question regarding camber adjustment with original dampers and springs.

When I had the aligment checked we noticed the camber on one side was out of spec. This is causing the steering wheel to vibrate at a certain speed. I wouldn't say it is excessive but it annoys me and may cause wear on bearings and steering components.

Can someone tell me how to sort this problem? I want to keep my current suspension setup (stock). Can I install a certain type of adjustable camberplate? Which ones would you recommend and do I need to combine it with a set of upper hat camber plates or is this not necessary?

Thanks in advance for the advice Wink.

Camber will not cause any vibration, only something out of balance, like the wheel or out of round like the hub or rim or tire.

So what!

I didn't think so either but I'm running out of options. Wheels and tires have been balanced and they are as good as new.

Unfortunately, New doesn't matter at all.
Check that the hub, the rim and the tire don't have any runout.
Stick your head out the window to actually see which one/s are hopping or wobbling, front & rear.

So what!

Side to side camber differences can sometimes be fixed by adjusting the engine crossmember, moving it across to the side with the low camber angle.
Are you using stock wheels ?

First thing then is to check that they are centred on the hubs as per the stock rims.

Are you using center rings(centreerringen) with the wheels?

Oh god, I can't believe it did not think of this Undecided.

No, I don't believe the car has 'center rings' installed so the rim might indeed bit a little bit off center when mounted.

Since you seem to speak Dutch, Zenki. Do you know a good place to buy/order them in Belgium or the Netherlands?
