5 deg out at the crank is only 2.5 deg at the cam, and that should
not be a problem. You can compensate for the half tooth error with the
adjustable pulleys.

I did have a spark Jondee...I also have a fuse missing in the main fuse box in the engine bay which is currently bridged with a bolt. It gives me 12.5v across it though but will get that sorted.

It was just ignition timing.

I had the same problem when i was instaling the ITB's...! Completely out of timing!

The cool thing on the MS, is that you can actually define 10º BTDC and go with a pistol do check your actual 10º there on the pulley! When you match both you can use the spark table with the 16º advance (i'm using 18º).

It was down to the poxy shaft on the distributor that moves after you've set it up.

I don't know how much room you have in your layout on your 86's but there isn't much space between cylinder head and rear bulk head on the AW11 so it's bound to move the more frustrated you get when trying to put it in straight and carefully.
