Cleaning K&N filters
Hey guys,

I was wondering about this. My car already has a K&N cone filter but its getting kinda dirty. Robokill even suggested I should replace it with a clean one which make senseSmile

This is however something K&N seem to recommend, atleast for their replacement filters:

Anyone have any experience with that? Is it any good?

Hm, that looks like some nasty work .

I got a K&N open airfilter myself. Do i need to do that much troublesome things to clean it as well?

Well after awhile your filter gets dirty and doesn't let air through as good as it used to, so yeah either replacing or cleaning it once in awhile is a good ideaSmile

Cleaning K&N filters
Hah, when I went to pick up some things at lasaulec or whatever they are called they had this cleaning kit on the shelf, so I bought it. When I have time I will use it on my K&N filter. I'll let you guys know if it works good or not.

Another related question, anybody know a good place to buy a nice SS pipe to run between my intake manifold and my K&N? I know have this ugle plastic stock thingSmile

I clean every 5k km my BMC F1 cone filter with similar cleaning kit in spray. I use old toothbrush to clean hard to reach parts. After that i respray it with oiling spray.
On my s13 i have A'pexi filter wich is dry tipe and does not require spraying and cleaning. And it's much better for AFM.

Drifting - best fun you can have in your car with your pants on!
