Clutch clunking
megabob Wrote:Homem Bomba Wrote:But the OP has not yet responded to my question... it this happens when the car is moving and in gear (shifting, for example) the problem may not even be related to the clutch at all. In that case, I'd say that the diff backlash needs to be re-tigthtened... its a common problem and ppl think it comes from the clutch, but the clunk is propagated through the propeller shaft and it seems like the problem is clutch related. Yeah, it may be the case that your CWP backlash was not properly adjusted or maybe the spacer has yielded due to strain... do you recall if the diff was installed with a solid pinion spacer or not? You may want to subscribe to the channel, as I have recently purchased an LSD for the AE86 and will be performing a rebuild and installation very soon... If you subscribe you will be notified when I put the rebuild video online ;-) E12 2.0 D-4D - 2002 - "Mariazinha" - G6R - 1998 - "Bebedolas" - AE86 - 1987 - "Charutinho" - Check out my Youtube Channel with lots of AE86 DIY Guides! |
