Coil springs...
I am busting my head about springs for my Hachi...
I already have Koni Sport shocks front and back... Has anyone here experiance with what springs to buy for a drift-all day car? More drift dan all day car... weitec, KW, H&R.... I am a bit lazy and I don't want to make nuclear phisics out of it... If someone has something smart to say... I am all ears... SNO-MO-BIRU project started- CHIRO |

8kg in the front, 6kg in the rear is pretty common. I dont know if it really matters what brand you use. You cant go wrong with TRD.

If you have coilovers, then just worry about the correct rates, the popular 6/4 or 8/6 rates should do fine for a drifter... 6/4 being nicer on the road.
TRD springs are the only ones available in varying strengts I can think of right now if you need springs for the stock struts. The european stuff is almost always oriented towards slightly more sporty than stock setups.. so mostly about 30% more stiff than stock at the very most. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

yes im also still shopping for springs.. the best i can find (non-coilover-like) is APEX springs - going for 163 eur here in slovenia. Might even be cheaper to get them from the aeu shop. Hey Art, any discount for oldtimers like me?

2 Apolan- A friend of mine got the dilership for KW... I will ask him tumorow... Although... they don't have specfied AE86 springs, Twingo springs and so on.. they have the diameter, number of circles and thickness of the wire... also stifness...
So, we have to measure our springs front/back and send him a request... I don't have coilovers... So stock dimension coil springs (slightly lower) will do just fine as long as they are stiff SNO-MO-BIRU project started- CHIRO |

mrgud, that would be great. I would like to go a bit stiffer than only +30% over stock (which are apex). Stock springrates are around 1.8-2 kg/mm, I think. So ideally i would like to have:
Front: 4kg/mm - 40mm lowering Rear: 3-4kg/mm - 30mm lowering Are you looking for sth along theese lines as well? |
