Coilovers etc...
Hey Guys,
Okay I finally found out what sorta springs I have. Standard APEX ones. The guy who had the car before me can't remember the spring rates but I believe they only came around 3kg. So I'm thinking of going different springs to fix my role problem. Now Ivan suggested I'd take a look at the coil overs from Paradise Racing. Zax has them aswell I think. They are for the front suspention only so I need to figure out what to do at the rear. Anybody got some advise on their experience with this setup? Try thicker swaybars first. It might wash the problem away.

Dont use thicker swaybars...you have a lack of springrate at the moment. Buy the swaybars if 6kg/mm springs arent strong enough.

Did you buy new bushings for your swaybar? That might do the trick I kind of have the same problem and I use TRD Competetion springs and shocks

mux213 Wrote:Hey Guys,Get some TRD spring for the rear. You can get them for either short stroke dampers (Thats what I use) or lowerd height. You should be able to order them in different spring rates. Check here: http://www.trdparts.jp/list_ae86.html You can order them from TTE in Germany, they supplied me with most of my TRD parts. I can see if I can get some discount for the people on here, what you all think? |

Well, if you would be so kind to see what kind of prices you can get on rear lowering springs from trd that would be great. I have a feeling that mux's apex springs have a rate around 3kg/mm. Not a problem for the rear of the car, you just need +/- 5.5kg/mm front springs to reduce the rolling in the front.

Robo, That would put them on 7/8th strength. That will kill em for sure
I want a good balance between my shocks, stabilizer bar and springs. I dont want to use my shocks for what my springs are supposed to do or the other way around. It'll just wear them out. Also I need to play with demper settings front2back. Setting front 2 max will only keep the car understeered. Greetz, Bastiaan "mux213" Olij Moved down under, no more hachi |
