Because I assembled it all right after the paint job, not knowing it wouldn't lower the car.
After that I didn't care to disassemble the rca's. Pure lazyness! |

That's true DJexor, but unfortunately, I had some problems trying to sort out what to do with my suspension and couldn't decide... Until I finally ended up buying a Greddy SS Coilover Kit which I'm waiting for right now.
To make things worse, since I knew it was an item on backorder from greddy, I tried to find out someone who had it in stock at ebay. Found it, sorted the shipping issues and then payed. Payment was a problem since they needed confirmed address through paypal and I thought I had... but I was wrong. When I finally made the wire transfer, the single item in stock they had was sold. Yesterday the shop owner told me that greddy would take 2 weeks to have it ready to send to them which I find hard to believe since everyone at hachiroku.net is talking about a month or so... Next event is in mid June and I don't think I'll have it ready. While I was sorting all these things out, I was also fighting with the crankshaft pulley that was sooooooo stuck that I thought it had bond together with the crankshaft! After some hammering and twisting and pulling it came out and right now I have a bunch of things to do to have the car ready besides the suspension issue. I have to finish assemblying the engine, timing belt, pulleys, fan, radiator, exhaust and some wiring and then I also have to assemble the gearbox, prop shaft and a 4.778 gear kit. So there is still a lot of work to do before having the car running. I'll try to take some pics of the work while doing it... Every single one is a head-ache. On 6 diferent 4AGE I own, haven't found one that the crank pulley comes apart easily. Disapointing? Your car? No way! It's a trully must-see for all Hachi lovers. Keep up the good work! |

let us know about dyno test after head mod. I'm on the same engine stage progress. Waitin' for HKS 272. Have You measured combusion chamber capacity? IF Carlsberg made an AE86, then it would be propably the best car in the world... |

woper, I'll have a dyno test soon after getting the car on the road.
I may install a 272/272 or 272/264 combo after checking out this combo I have right now. I wanna get the most hp out of this stock intake and stock ECU with a piggy back. I havn't measured the chamber capacity, but I havn't worked on it that much... Best regards |

Keep the AFR between 12.8-13.5. I saw on UR dyno that AFR was for turbo spec. If U can - You should measure the combusion chamber capacity. If it's too small there will be knocking. Keep the capacity over 35ccm. IF Carlsberg made an AE86, then it would be propably the best car in the world... |
