News:
Assembled NCRCA and made fenders wider to keep it from rubbing. Cheap and easy. No need for painting. Also assembled the whitelines. ![]() ![]() ![]() Best regards |

Let me know how you like the NCRCA's... I'm curious if the issues I am having with the trueno at the moment are related to the NCRCA's (aside from the fender rubbing, which is worse on trueno fenders anyway).

Right now I have the camber plates adjusted to the maximum which gets around -5º but I'm going to put it around -3º.
I haven't driven it hard yet, maybe next month I'll have some feedback. Best regards |

It's the steering feel I'm interested in...
How are you going to handle the fender rubbing issue's? IMHO, it would be a shame to molest your fenders.. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

Corolla front fenders are easy to shape/pull and still keep a good form.
What kind of problems are you referring to Ivan? I didn't notice any negative stuff when I installed mine...well....except for the tire rubbing against my chassis at full lock because of the increased scrub ratio. If I had to do it again, I would go for adjustable lower arms. But NCRCA's shouldn't be an issue. |

Ivan141 Wrote:It's the steering feel I'm interested in... Has you can see in the pictures, the fenders were widened by means of that bar you see. The bumper was also changed so that the bolt that holds it to the fender wouldn't get it the way. That made the fender/bumper a nice whole inch wider and it doesn't rub. I have 15x7 with 0 offset with 7mm wheel spacers and NCRCA's. No rubbing issues so far. Best regards |

It's increased bump steer sensitivity that I am worried about.
The difference between using adjustable LCA's and NCRCA's is in the fact that an NCRCA increases the distance between the balljoint and the wheel centerline (scrub radius?), instead of moving the balljoint out. I'm just wondering if this accounts for the difference in steering-feel I get in the NCRCA'd trueno compared to my levin. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

What cam timing did you use for the Kent cam 298?
did you try different settings on the dyno to try for more power? http://www.skynet.ie/~eireae86 |

Hi irishtwincam!
I didn't have the time, money or the will to try and fiddle with cam timing. I've set both at 105º IIRC. I'm sure it is possible to get some more from this setup, but I just don't have the will power ![]() Best regards |
