That's some aweful rust. The more pics I see from all the rust, the more I think I was lucky enough with my car. Smile

Whatever happened to your windshield? Dumb question

Yes rust is the devils work Smile But it looks worse than it is, or at least i hope Undecided The winther here in scandinavia realy is a killer for the cars... Thatøs why my hatchi is newer going to see a winther on the road again.

As for the windshield I removed it, because the bottom corners of the "windowframe" was rusted away, so the windshield was cracked.

Sounds awefully familiar Tongue

It's a bad spot most hachis will suffer from. Too bad it's a spot that is difficult to reach. Undecided

Yes that is a realy nasty spot.
If you take look at Jan Pedersens project: http://www.aeu86.org/viewtopic.php?t=631...c&start=25
my red hatchi looked precisely the same around the windowframe.
And as if the rust repairing job isn't enough, the price on a new windshield and installation is around 420 euro here in Denmark, so that's definately not funny...

Hello fellow AE86 owners Smile

Just thought I would bring you an update on the project.

I have ripped the car totally for windows, bumpers, etc.. So now it's time for rebuilding. I have a couple of pics for youse guys. As i feared, the rust infection is pretty bad...

I have a weeks hollyday, and my plan is to get most of the rust repaired. But I'll keep you guys updated.

I basicly removed everything from the car. Let the restoration begin Smile

I began repairing the surface-rust, I realy hope to get it ready for painting this month... But mmmm let's see what the time brings.
