Dash Lights

Hi all.

Some might remember that I had an issue with my dash light and a few suggested that the 'dimmer' might be down or a bad earth...

well I've been at its and still nothing...

My Trueno is GT and doesn't come with a dimmer. I have also earthed every wire on the headlight switch and everywhere on the 2 block connectors that attach to the speedo.

I've also gone as far as taking the green circuit bit where the bulbs plug into on the rear, Off, and clean up the earth points.

Still nothing.

Anyone have any other ideas or is it time to try different clocks incase mine are done?

Have you inspected the flexible circuit board behind the cluster? Sometimes traces burn out...

I also had the problem once that where the connector attaches to the circuit board, there were small cracks in the circuit board (where it does the 180 degree bend) and also that the connectors themselves were not as tight as the could have been. In my case it was the pwr / eco lights that were not working.

Yes have taken off the green flexi film and looks in order. The connectors are tight on mine. I don't have an eco/pwr light on mine so that's that haha. I'm fresh out of ideas. Might try new cluster and see. At least I'll know if it's the cluster or not.
