I've got the design in svg format for you. Optimal scalability . Also gave a bigger more logo-ish variant a go.. I'll post it tomorrow since it on my work laptop.

You need a flattened version of the SVG Banpei. The font only works if you have it installed, unless
you turn the text into vector shapes.

Thanks! Well, so far the aid from Gimp I guess...
The problem probably lies in that it is not suitable for native SVG and renders it... I'll see if I can find another SVG able program.

Got it right this time!

As you can see I updated the front page with an appropriate theme. Next up is get the red color scheme of the forum in the same colors.

Inkscape is what you need for SVG, that way you can keep it in vector format.
By flattening I just meant converting the text to vector curves.
Is the red used in the theme the correct hue?

I'm also missing the unread posts link in the new styles, which is my single most favourite feature on aeu86

I think the 'View new posts' correysponds to the 'unread posts.

In my opinion it looks good - just the font size of the '[AEU86] EU AE86 COMMUNITY' part is a bit big. Due to being on two lines it consumes about a third of my screen (17" 1280x1024 - yeah I desperately need to buy something new). On my tablet with a 2560x1600 resolution it takes up half and I already need to scroll to see the whole slider.

Yes I wanted to try Inkscape, but then I bumped into Affinity Designer. So I took that one for now.
The hue for the forum is definitely not the correct one. That is one of the things to fix for now.
I can have made the font size for the title a bit smaller. It also fits on one single line now, so that shouldn't be a problem anymore I guess.
Bean: just buy a bigger tablet!

I have monkeyed a bit around with the images used for headers and such. The header is fine, but he one used as a table head doesn't look right to me... It is also being reused in the top navigation. Have to think about that one a bit more...

I think I got the most of the headers/links now in the correct hue.

I think something went wrong with the font scaling in the logo. Aeu and 86 are supposed to be the same width. I also think the on/off button for indicating new posts could benefit from different colors, black for off, red for on?
