Doc's KE20: - really coming together now
I did a dyno test today
(click on image for bigger sized pic) 50,8 RWHP with the AFR running lean @ high revs. But i don't care about that too much. This engine is going to dissapear soon (i hope ) and a small movie from one of my runs This was just for fun, they needed some people to fill the dynoday and i wanted to know waht my 1200cc engine did Well, not bad, considering it's a bog standard, 31 year old engine It produces (approx.) 7 bhp more then the 54 Toyota states "It's all about the heart, the people who focus on parts, turbo's and all that stuff...they're just losers." -Shinji Minowa |

LOL!
Not bad indeed. It looks like your engine survived those three decades quite well. How much did it cost you then? A lot cheaper than normal fee? 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: |

WOW...thats not bad at all!!! Actually gaining horsepower with time...
What do you mean by your AFR running low at high revs? It looks spot on..If it doesn't detonate at those AFR's then you won't gain any horsepower by enrichening it..Though you might pick up some gain in dynamic behaviour. Have you decided to switch to the 4k engine? If so, then you might want to pick up that spare engine that i have been bargaining about..Its 350E without the flywheel and header..other then that it is the twinsister of your engine, polley cam, blueprinted, headwork etc etc..Considering the fact that 4k's are getting more rare, might be a good oportunity to actually get some racing spec spares. it cost me 45 euro
I hope it's gonna be the 4K indeed, so that spare engine might not be a bad idea. "It's all about the heart, the people who focus on parts, turbo's and all that stuff...they're just losers." -Shinji Minowa |

a small update..
Since 1 januari (didn't start this year good ) my diff howls and rattles like crazy. Sounds like it can explode any minute Got me a spare axle, which i placed in my 'workshop' Drained the oil, looked better then the black stuff which came out of my own diff, so that looks good untill so far. I'm trying to remove the diff from my spare axle and put it in my own axle. Also went to some sprayshops, to get some quotes for a complete respray. In a month or 2 i'm hoping to deliver my KE20 to a sprayshop to get all the rust fixed, parts sprayed etc. etc. "It's all about the heart, the people who focus on parts, turbo's and all that stuff...they're just losers." -Shinji Minowa |

Nice work mate!
But i gotta say, them rollers on the rolling road look dodgey! Every rolling road ive been to sit the rear wheels in 2 rollers, your wheels sit on top of one roller! (hope that makes sence) But 50bhp i take it? At the rear wheels is impressive! |

Doc, I think one of the guys at the DIY garage in eindhoven will paint a car for 500 euro's if you ask him nicely. But then you still have to get your rust fixed somewhere. I thought I read in some other thread that you dont have the right lugnuts to fit those wolfrace wheels of yours. Post a pic and find out what kind of thread pitch your car has, I might have an idea that would work.
Lets get those wheels to stop serving as an axle stand. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

Post a pic and find out what kind of thread pitch your car has, I might have an idea that would work. you know what it is, i haven't got any place where i can sand my car. i can't do it here in front of my house and indeed, there are some small rustarea's to fix. So i went to a sprayshop, and they gave me a quote i was happy with. I bring the car without logo's/bumpers/grille's/windows etc. etc. etc. and they will take care of the rest. Cost a little bit more, but i think it's worth it //edit: about those wheels, i'm gonna make some pics to clear some things up.
