4AGZE Swap question for a AE86??

Hi guys,

I'm planning to swap my 4AGE with a 4AGZE from a MR2..

I'm planning to go with my stock T50 gearbox and Stock Diff (with LSD).

any warnings or things to look out for??

any help would be very much appreciated guys.

you need to extend the engine harness from the 4agze
,electric radiator fan install, front mount intercooler,
modify engine mounts a little...
and when you buy a gze make sure that you have all the sensors with it

I actually didnt realize that i had to do a electric fan conversion. hpefully the quotation my mechanic gave me has that included

what about the gearbox and the diff? any changes or limitations on that?

you can keep that diff stock its strong enough if you leave the engine stock
You can give it a try with the standard gearbox (I'm gonna 'do it too)
if you want a upgrade-gearbox you can use a w58 gearbox from a supra
butt remember you need a w58 to 4age bellhousing

Hi Roger,

thanks for your feedback. Actually I'm hoping to stick with the Supercharged stock engine. I won't even turbo it running @ 0.9 boost.

So i think it'll work. I'm hoping to replace my existing GB with a newer T50 GB so hopefully it'll last a bit more. My existing GB has its cogwheels all broken in to pieces and not sure why..

What do you mean by modifying the engine mounts a little?

the engine mount on the intake side will not fit because the supercharger He has to be adjusted

The stock gearbox will work perfectly...If you bought the engine with a clutch you will see that there is a TRD pressure plate present which you can use to replace your standard pressure plate...
