EUDM gauge cluster
I'm looking for an EUDM (or USDM) gauge cluster for some research I'm conducting. Condition, mileage or version doesn't matter much, as long as the basic operation of the cluster is fine. If anyone has one of these for a reasonable price, please let me know. Thumbs up!

Do you need the whole one or specific parts. I do have one spare but not sure yet if I'll need it (depends if they'll accept my modified one or not).

PS: if I can keep the RPM logic board I can send you the rest, else I'll have to figure things out first.

I needed it for two reasons: one is to see if the speed chime signal is truely there (as indicated by the body repair manual) as I never managed to pick up that signal on my old AE86. The other is to see if there are any major differences between EUDM and the JDM clusters. So if the rpm logic board just concentrates to the tachometer it should be fine for me. Smile

Sorry for the huge delay, was busy and then forgot but anyway I had a closer look at both my EDM cluster and the chime isn't supported (see picture) - I guess you'll need to keep the JDM one or source a Middle Eastern one.

If you still want it let me know and I'll check how much shipping would be.

Thanks for conducting the research! Thumbs up!
Ah, that's a shame! Can I conclude the following: the logic is inside the cluster, but there simply isn't a line going to the connector?

I just took my spare cluster apart and allthough there are 2 connections (pin 10&11 on the white connector) going to the speedometer, they don't seem to be a switch as far as I can tell. I checked for continuity and it's always on no matter what position the needle has. I can only assume they are there to make the speedo needle work (converting the mechanical spinning to a 'steady' needle position). Which kind of makes sense now that I type and think about it.
Also looking at the electric manual the pin out on LHD and RHD seems to have quite a few differences too, so pluging in the other version as is won't work.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Just wanted to provide the correct information on this.
The 2 connections on the speedometer are not there for the needle (who work purely on the eddy current principle*) but are connected to a reed switch to give you speed signal to the ECU.
The pin 10 on the cluster goes to ground and the pin 11 go to the ECU Pin n°10 on the 14 pins connector.
It give you 2548 pulses / km (4 pulses / cable rev) or in other words multiply the frequency output by 1.42 and you get your speed in km/h.

Now I would be very interested to see the speedometer from the middle east or the JDM version to see how the implemented the switch for the speed chime.
