Emanage set up
Anyone done an Emanage set up before?

Surprisingly all went well, got the unit hooked up and talking to the laptop, but when I try and set the TPS I dont seem to get any reading?

I run through the set up procedure, but the laptop dosnt show any reading?

Any suggestions? The wiring is correct, I have checked.

Any help is appreciated.

The unit is Emanage Blue BTW.

Cheers

James

does the engine run? if not have you tried to get a reading with a multimeter to see if the TPS is working at all?

Hey Guys,

Sorted this out, being a chunmp I misread the manual and accidentally tapped the wrong TPS wire (they are next to each other and both TPS cables so I thought I had the right one). In my defence I was upside down in the footwell as I couldnt be bothered to drag the car out of the garage! Big Grin I know which one I need to tap now so will rewire it on the weekend.

All in all an easy install, everything runs fine (all values set to 0 for the moment).

Once I have a wideband 02 sensor I can start mapping the engine - will start of tinkering with the stocvk set up and then install my cams and ITB's and set to work getting all that running right.

Is anyone using a Emanage successfully on JDM 4AGE 16v blue top?

Been searching around and hearing mix reviews, most people have tried and it didn't work some say it works on MAP sensor, So i'm curious as to any one using one? If so, what did u do to make it work?

Mine should come in the post some time this week which i picked up for a bargain.

Eight-six,

How u going with your Emanage?

Cheers

I am slightly baffled by the lack of online support, considering its wide use and it being around for a number of years now. I have even asked people I know who have had success with the unit but they like to remain tight lipped?! Go figure – so much for community!

Unit is connected but the unit is showing 2 error codes, which I need to understand as its saying no injector pulse detected for channels 3 / 4 but I only have 1 / 2 and the car is over fueling and stumbling when held at a fast idle and beyond – which doesn’t make sense as the maps are set to 0 – meaning its doing something? Sure it will be straight forward but my brain was fried by that point and I gave up.

I'm the "mechanic" of AE86_Z.
We wasn't able to get injector signal so/and we can't change the duty cycle. We've tried it several ways, but it wasn't working so Z sold it and he uses now Megasquirt. I'm really interested in this, if someone could make it work on AE86.

Lot of people use it with AE92 late (smallport) harness. I think it also can work with AFM, but not the MAP AE86!
