Yes they can be reused... BUT...

The Cometic gaskets outer layers use Viton rubber (gee see that again...) to help seal it. A fresh gasket having not been heat cycled, has to be better......

I've applied Wellseal to both faces of the HG to help to seal again. Was recommended this by various engine builders, one specifically who has had dealings with a formula atlantic powered ae86 and a Cometic Gasket supplier.
