Engine running bad during worming up period
Engine is running bad during worming up period only when I press throttle pedal, engine almost stalls. After it arrives at to normal temperature, everything is OK, but during this first 5 minutes it’s almost impossible to drive.
So far I tried to:
Replace water temp. sensor,
Put new sparks and spark plug wires,
Bought new ignition cap,
Changed air filter,
Set up TPS correctly,
Set ignition timing to 10 (while shortcut connector)…

Any other suggestion? What to try next?

Fun is not the straight line!

max,

is your car idling high enough during startup? Needs to be pretty high rpm idle for it to warm up properly or it will stall..

Still from your list I'm sure you checked that one already...

Yes, it runs on 1500rpm, during cold start, smoothly. No problem of that. Problem starts when I press throttle pedal during this worm-up period.

If it's MAP engine - check carefully (also at the back side) and replace vacuum hose to the MAP sensor.

Then you probably also have an oxygen sensor in your exhaust...replace or clean that one as well..

Have you checked the air regulator? (or air valve) I had a similar problem on the silvia, it turned out to be that.

I try to disconnect oxygen sensor, but it doesn’t seams to change anything.
Cold engine is running at 1500-1800rpm in summer time, so it’s not the problem of throttle either.
I also found some sensor from the back of engine (engine is swapped from fwd AE92) connected with two vacuum hoses, I’m not sure what’s the function of this sensor, but it has to do something with temperature as well.
Air valve?! Where is location of air valve?

Air valve will be on the throttle body, it raises the idle speed when the engine is cold, if its not working properly it could be your problem.
