Eric's KE70 08/10 Longchamps!
Hmmm... From what I understood from Eric he has a lot of courage then. Kind of an endurance restoration...

fitted the T3 stuff...
the 86 camber plates dont exactly fit on the KE70, i had to drill a new hole. ![]() the tension control rods bolt right on. the lower control arms do too. the outer tie rods fit too. ![]() after that was don i started working on the coilover kit. after disassebling my old damperhousing i tried to fit the sw20 damper into the ke70 damperhousing but they appear to be to small. i had a set of supra front parts but they dont fit too ![]() So now i have to find some 86 front struts so i can finish my suspension. Otherwise my rca's wont fit too.. on the back i fitted the agx dampers too, apex springs and a T3 5 link kit. That was a straight fit. Next thing: figure out brakes and the 20v blacktop install. |

just out of curiosity, why do you want to use shocks from a mid engined car?
do you really think those shocks has the optimal valve sizings and settings for your car? instead of buying shocks that's actually designed for your car, weight and weight distribution? aaand I think you mounted the camber plate the wrong way (left vs right) unless you for some stupid reason want less caster than stock ![]() 3x ke70, 2x te71, 2x ae86, 1x ke20 and 1x hilux |

Do not leave that hole as it is, ( I mean the old one on the front strut) for obvious reasons...

David: i bought the shocks from the aeu96.org shop, i guess they know what they are selling, as far as i know this is the most common set used on the 86.
left vs. right? as far as i know there was no differenci in left or right, just the shape of the plate itself. ill have another look at that. Roku: i will weld up the hole ![]() |
