EuroDrift Round 1 Season Starter - AE86 Wins Clubman Group.

Well,

the dorifto season has started in the UK



The first round of the EuroDrift took place at Silverstone yesterday. Without a car to compete in I took a nice steady drive to Silverstone in the Z to support some of the great folks I've met over the last 2 years.

As always DriftUK organised a great event ensuring both the crowd and drivers had a great day.

And now to the results:

Winner Gary Taylor
2nd Stewart Hansford
3rd Steve Carter

Club Class
Winner Will Fleming
2nd Bruno Esperanca
3RD James Russell

As always the usual gaggle of s-body nissans took up most of the competitor list but our Very own Brother Will took a greatly deserved victory in the stock 4AGE engined eurolevin showing that driver skill plays a truely significant part of the package.

Other AE86 competitors absent from the day included:

Paz - Fried Alternator and mapping problems
Mr. Doricar (aka James) - Vauxhall engine still not mapped correctly (but be very scared when it is!)
Kenny - Couldn't make the day due to other plans
86Jay - car still being prepped for D1GB
Raj - where is brother Raj ?

Round 2 takes place at Teeside on the 29th of april - be there or be ..... er .... somewhere else LOL. The rest of the eurodrift fixtures and practice events can be found here

Thanks for the post Ian...and it's great to see Will tking the victory in Ricard's old levin..the engine may be stock but I do believe it had some very nice suspension stuff on it. The absent cars show some promise for the future...cant wait to see that Opel powered hachi hit the track, not to mention your honda s2k engined 86 when its done.

And Round 2 of the Euro Drift saw even more 86 dominance (almost.. ).

In the Clubman, Jay took the win and got promoted to Pro Class and in Pro he proceeded to take 3rd place overall, right behind me in 2nd place Post coming soon!
