Fender rolling
Does anyone have any experience with fender rolling?
I need to roll the inner lip of the front fenders because I'm having problems since I lowered the car. After installing the trueno front on senna's car he had the same problems. Trueno fenders have bigger lips however and I managed to bend it in a bit by hand. That solved his problem, so Í think rolling the fenders will help my car as well. How did you guys solve this? My car is lowered 4cm's and I have stock 14" wheels with 195/60r14 tires. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

Fender rolling
Baseball bat between fender and wheel, SLOWLY roll the car forward (with it off ofcourse) and roll as neccicary
NOTE: This should really only be done while its hot outside, unless you have a heat gun. heat up the paint / metal a little bit so it'll stretch and roll easier. "Sometimes giving up isn't the answer we're looking for, but its the only answer we have" |

I dont have a baseball bat...it's not a big sport in europe
I'll see what I can think of. I might just cut the lip off altogether, but that leaves me with even more annoying rust-proofing to do. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

Now I REALLY need to get rid of that pesky lip. I'ma buy myself some fender flares or new fenders because the revolotion wheels are really coming close to the fenders. I have less trouble with sharp turns than I had before with the 195/60r14 tires, but long corners at fast speeds are now also a problem....weird. I might just grind off the front fender lip altogether. Rolling is more trouble, whilst cutting provides a little bit more space for the tires.

If you're planning on getting wide fender flares you might aswell try rolling the fenders first. If it goes wrong you can always cutting it away.

Yeah I know. I dont like the mounting method used for most fibreglass flares. You have to screw those on top, which is likely to rust. If I put fibreglass front fenders on then I would mold in wider flares for sure. The rear is not causing me any problems yet luckily.
For the moment I'm going with more springrate and rolled lip up front. Here's a pic so you have an idea how far out the revolutions come: FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |
