Flywheel and rpm
To cut a long story short i have a MK1 mr2 4age in my cam, i put corolla clutch and flywheel onto this, just changed my clutch and flywheel back to the mr2 ones and my idle spedd has changed, its at 2500 rpm when cold and when hot 2000, i presume the different weights in flywheels is causing this, anyone else have similar issues at any stage and what did ye adjust?

I have never heard of changing flywheel affects idle. Usually a bigger cam or a different program in the ECU than the factory one makes difference.

Bigger camshaft makes idle unstable and different program gives higher idle.

Did someone mess with the little idle screw on your throttle body? You know, the one that sets your idle?

Maybe just try and adjust your idle with it?

What different weights? I think they're much the same. Check your water system vacuum lines and idle adjustment screw. If you cant adjust it further down make sure the throttle is properly adjusted at the throttle body.
If that's all in order then you might have a problem with the coolant lines to the throttle body or perhaps the thermostat.

did you disconnect the battery? if you do the ecu can have problems with finding idle. and alsi ckeck youre throttle body, the inside can be dirty and this can give porblems with finding idle after disconnect the batt.
so clean throttlebody with brakecleaner and put the batt back on

i think that can help.

AE86 is a way of living and i like it sideways!!
