Front Lights/Fog Lights
Hi guys... I just got a 1984 Trueno AE86 with Kouki bodyparts, engines c/w wiring. Recently, I just noticed that the front fog lights could not be switched on (bulbs are all good). Tried to find the switch but nothing turn it on. AFAIK, the main selector switch on the dashboard is for the (1) front yellow small lights and rear lights, (2) main pop up headlights, and (3) to turn all lights off but remain pop up the headlight. I did find one more switch next to the defogger switch (P=) but when I switch it on, the same happen like when I turn the main selector switch on (1). So, I am thinking that the P= switch is for the fog light (white color on the end side of front bumper). Anybody knows anything about this? Thanks...

Better check the fuses and relays in the engine compartment first, but otherwise you should be checking the input lead (I think the W-B) for the retractor relay on page 30 of the USDM wiring diagrams:

Ah, I understand now!
But those are not foglights: they are the indicator lights and this is how they should operate: So if they operate when engaging the turn signal or hazard lights they should be working properly. 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: |

another thing on electronic/electrical... I got a digital dash/meter on my AE86. Since I got it from the last owner, the "Rear Lights" indicator on the digital meter panel is always turned on/shows up. All rear lights is working properly. Thanks...
