Full coilover set G4 - opinions?
Hello,

just saw this set on ebay.co.uk. Like the characteristics - almost everithing is adjustable, with 110mm drop. But is somebody having already experience with them?

I'm not sure whether or not the springrates are the same but other then that they are exactly the same ones as the Megane's, Ksports and D2 coilovers. I think if you search on one of those coilovers it might be easier to find experiences about them as I don't see them G4's around a lot.

I also saw these on Ebay (or the D2, but they are the same) for EUR 600. That's dirt cheap which usually means crap. I did some searches and a bunch of people in an australian toyota forum seemed to rave about how cheap they were and how good they look, how much you can drop the car etc...... meaning they have no idea... Smile

Then i found this thread:

You decide.

Quote:The Linear rate spring is available in spring rates from 3.5-22 kg/mm
^That makes it way better than the other cheap brands imo...
In theory anyway Wink

But this guy hit the nail on the head:

Quote:cheap coil overs are stupid.
1: quality
2: wtf do you need coil overs for on the street? when for the same $$ you can get a better quality spring/shock package from koni/trd/eibach etc etc

dont fall for the magpie effect and buy shiney coz its phat.
buy quality. and theres nothing quality about d2.

at least with monroes and cut springs the strut isnt likely to snap, though it will still handle arse!

suspension is like tyres, DONT skimp..... unless your into posing rather than driving

Sarcasme is just one of the things I offer Wink
