HELP Exhaust issue's
Hi there,
Was just wondering does anyone have any recommendations as to what exhaust system i can put on my hachi that is not going to wake the dead?? .At the moment i have an Apexi 4 branch and home made stainless steel cat back system which came with the car when i imported it,however it's just too loud . I can't go out drifting or messing at all without the local fuzz hearing me....or some one reporting me....Are the HKS Hi Power Silent systems any good??Any ideas welcome,Thanks in advance. Even a stock exhaust will cost you something like 0.5whp. Nothing that you would notice. The fujitsobu items are nice, very light.

As you can see... fit is BETTER than OEM..... also need a short edit... the system shown is no longer available... and thats GOOD! Let me explain... this /\ system was one of 3 Fujitsubo had for the AE86. This was the short muffler model. This model is no longer available. The current kit uses a longer muffler (Perfectly skewed) so it runs evenly along the fuel tank heat shield, and the twin tips fit out perfectly flush. The front part of the piping is identical. Finally I mentioned 3 Fujitsubos, and all I described were 2... well the third one is idential to the long muffler twin tip, but it has a single tip.... http://www.fujitsubo.co.jp/search/prod-v...D=00000194 Here is the no longer available system.... http://www.fujitsubo.co.jp/search/prod-v...D=00000194 Here are photos of all three if you look carefully you can see the differences I've outlined All the fujitsubo systems use 2" mandrel bent piping, all piping is heavily aluminized, and the muffling sections are stainless. For those running in excess of 140hp, there is a mandrel bent 60mm exhaust kit from Brave in Japan. Cost is about $450 http://www5f.biglobe.ne.jp/~brave-nh/pro...etail.html BTW... both are available through cyberauto(already on the vendor list) you can email cyberauto at [email protected], or at [email protected] Dan - You can | .... Those are some nice mufflers!!
Another option that is interesting is Martelius. They are a finish based company that make different types of mufflers, mostly having experience with ae86 rally cars I believe. They also make performance headers. So far I'm very satisfied with my exhaust though its very hard for me to compare it to stock as I've never had a stock muffler on my car. Mux's exhaust Search for Martelius on this board for more info about them. Greetz, Bastiaan "mux213" Olij Moved down under, no more hachi |
