Well after a long while I have decided that the car is close enough that I could probably post pics. Bought two AE86's from a member here. Some of you might recognize the car. IT was purchased with no engine, no tranny, no driveshaft, and no suspension. Being a Nissan guy for awhile I loved the CA18DET. Great reliable motor and of course the boost. The CA18 won't get too much as I believe 170hp is quite enough to get the AE86 rolling just fine. Might turn up the boost a bit and hoping for close to 200hp but nothing crazy. Right now I have the custom driveshaft in, custom tranny mounts, Jun Flywheel, Cusco Clutch, going to custom make an exhaust, custom exhaust manifold (maybe) and the FMIC.

Remember not the greatest AE86 on here as there are a lot of great cars here.

Here is another project I am working on too. 1991 Honda Civic Shuttle 4wd. Supercharged CRX Motor, fender flares with 16x10 Steffans.

nice cars you got there man.

Have you got any pics from the mounts you made for the ca?
I ve heared that is very easy to swap to the ca18, is that true?

The mounts weren't that hard to make. I used the stock mounts from the Corolla and the mount from the CA. They are pretty ugly as I haven't cleaned the welds up yet. I will try and get some pics but it was pretty easy. The shifter sits back further than stock so I had to cut some of the tranny tunnel away and of course this will now sit back by the E-brake so that will need to be modified as well.

The only thing I see that could be a problem is towards the front of the motor. The CA sits pretty high so some modifications to the hood might need to be made as well.

All in all it took about a day to make the motor mounts and get it all bolted down and in the car. The wiring will take the longest to do but hopefully soon I can start the motor up.

The Advans are 4x114 and 3pc. 13x6 with a pretty low offset.

The Ronal Postert's (turbos) are also 4x114.

If you use the gearbox from a silvia 200sx (2 liter NA) then the stick position ends up pretty much stockish.

No way that you can keep stockish boost if you go custom on exhaust and inlet. 0.9bar minimum I would guess, so plan on a chip at the same time.

Is that zacks old coupe?

A wheel to steer the front of the car

With my friend Ts@n@k@s we'll try to do the same the next months so any help would be appriciated. If possible post some pics from engine mounts, tranny,drivetrain e.t.c CA is a pretty cheap mod for some decent power. What axle u will use? I don't think the ae86 driveshafts will handle 200hp and at least 25kg of torgue

Not to worried about stick position at this point. Already cut the hole for it and got it all mounted up. I have had 4 Nissan S13's all with the Ca and with an exhaust, intake, and FMIC it was just fine and I was quite happy with its performance. I know the Ca's pretty good. Sold both 4age's that I had already. Already have modded ECU's and will be converting the Nissan Coils to GMC Coils.

I know a guy who had a CA on the stock rear end and it held up fine. This will be no drag car. Too nice and too clean. I have a rusty Ae86 for that.

I have a 200sx 2.0 NA FJ20 too with the tranny but that is all being saved for another project.

The Civic is 4wd too.

I'll just break the trend here and ignore the hachi (nice & clean)...
That Civic is pushing the right buttons though! I love the flares. Please dont tell me they are VW ones...
