Prothane Bushing Install Question

I am in the process of installing the prothane bushing kit. I have a question about the lateral trackbar bushing. I pushed the rubber out I noticed there's a metal sleeve still in the trackbar. Do I need to push this metal sleeve out? The new bushings won't go in easily with the sleeve there but I think I could force them in.

Are you using the lube provided with the bushings? I´d maintain the sleeve, as it´s there to increase area andevenly spread the force over the bushing. Tight fit is needed

I am using the lube provided. The other bushings of this design I've done (only the front control arm ones) have just pushed in by hand. It looks like if I take out this sleeve the diameter is right that it would just push in by hand. But it's gonna be hard to push out the sleeve so that's why I'm asking. I don't want to do it if it's not necessary.

That rubber bushing removed was originally bonded to that sleeve wasn't it??
The plastic bushing is a slip fit.

Yes, the old rubber one appeared to be bonded to the metal sleeve.

get rid of the sleeve.. (easier said than done though).
