Greetings from Lithuania
Hi all!
Nice to be here with so many fun-toys enthusiasts! I actually don't have AE86 (had a chance to own one, but skipped), but as a proud and happy owner of mr2 aw11, I hope to be not banned from here Here few pictures of my toys: http://public.fotki.com/Mar10LT/mar10_automotive/ MR2 aw11 and GT4 st185 Carlos Sainz edition, not so many fotos, but will be more after I make my homepage  There was so many decisions about engine swaps in my mr2, that it's standing without engine for about 1year.. and I missed it. First plan was to put my ex-gt4 st165 3SGTE in it - I bought st165 with plans to make a swap next spring after mr2 winter sleep, drived gt4 for 1 winter.. and realised that 4wd turbo car is something that cannot be compared in bad road conditions - after mr2's some oversteer and understeer winter-problems (it was fun, but sometimes VERY scary) gt4 made my "scary winter" days to "pure fun" season! That's why I sold prepared JDM rev.1 3SGTE + all my ST165 parts, to help me afford ST185cs and now I'm very happy with it! (Have some pics of engine, if it's interesting) Now I have to make my decision about next swap plan in mr2.. I have 4age black-top and last gen. 3sgte (2002> st246 caldina) engines coming from Japan this month. But I can't decide what I want - underpowered rev-happy 4A screamer OR 3S torque-monster with huge potential? And this makes me go sleep later every day! But, I think I'll go for Black-top, because I just miss that explosive revs of 4AGE, after 1.5 year of 3SGTE driving But.. that 3S perfomance.. But that weight balance of aw11 makes it unique car.. as AE86 too! Argh... very hard to decide! Can't describe all mods I've done to my cars, because it will be a very long story to tell and.. I have to go now.. Once again I'd like to tell that it's nice to be here! P.S. Sory for my language, and if there'll be some questions or requests about my cars details - feel free to ask! Iki! |

Welcome!
Ofcourse we won't ban you for not owning an ae86. I'd say you should go for the blacktop. I've heard the engine at TE71Corolla's workshop. Just one word for that engine: AWESOME! 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: |

Welcome... personally I welcome any toyota enthusiast here, or even another brand (say...a mazda mx5 ). As long as the love for old school/rwd fun cars is there.
I bet you have loads of fun with that 4wd celica indeed. But for a car as tiny as the aw11 I dont think you really need a 3sgte. A 20V will propel it fast enough, but not scary fast. If you can find an LSD for it then you will have a very fun little car. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

Thank you for greetings!
Yes, I think I'll stay with Black top conversion, as for 3S power - I will find it in the best place and option - GT4 Today I had a chance to prove it to myself again => we had a HUGE snow storm today.. As for LSD.. hope to find one day, but only after the swap |
