HKS 5AG Kit info required

it is not in production anymore, but it was a crancshaft and con rods, which had deeper stroke, bringing the output of the 4AG to 1.7 liter.
if you want more output, go to the next junk yard, and get yourself the 7A-FE block with internals and accessories, get a porche 924 timing belt, and install the 4AG pistons on the 7A block, put the 4ag timing belt crank pulley adn you will go 1.8 liter, in a much cheaper manner!
7a-fe's could be found in early avensis, some carina E's, some celicas as well.

I found one for sale but there are no pistons with it. Sounds like it is a little job to do, maybe need a spare block to build up.

jon it looks like a serious job to install, but it should make a great engine!
i would be very interesed to chart your progress if you do take it on!

have you stil got a pair of trd topmounts for sale? i would like to buy these if you have!

The price of the kit went through the roof so i passed anyway, thinking about a 7age now still more important thing need to be done first,

I have those top mounts, you can find them you can find them in the shop on my site ! UK postage would be £10

i heard that 7A-GE is not worth the effort.

Dunno where i read it (i'll try to find it), but a couple of dutch guys tried it, and after a LOT of work they got a 140 bhp 7A-GE or so.

im building a 7age next week and il try and do a write up and take some pics and i wont lie if it turns out crap i will be the first to post!

the reason im doing it is that in many other tuning circles the equivilent of a 7age would be a very popular engine eg fords vws ect,

and for the relativly low cost it could (it very well may not) prove to be a great engine.

jon - iv located them topmounts in your shop, as i thought the 5age kit would cost way more than its worth. i once found an mr2 mk1 race car for sale on ebay which already had 5ag, hks pistons etc alreaddy installed it only went for 2k for the whole car, i was kicking myself that i couldnt get the money together to make a decent bid!!
