Hall sensor
I have just completed an AEM ems installation into my '86 and I would ideally
like to use hall effect sensors in the distributor. (I know that the accepted way of doing this is to run a trigger wheel on the crank pulley) Anyone know if it has been done before or from which cars I could salvage some sensors to give it a try. Thanks An analogue brain in a digital World |

most people just go trigger wheel. t3 do a wheel and pulley setup. very tasty

I'm using a GZE CAS for crank/cam positioning signals, and the sensors are exactly the same as found in the base of a dissy. Largeport and smallport have different setups, but both can be used. The GZE CAS is probably better than a distributor because there is no HT voltage in close proximity to the sensors.
