Head Gasket Replacement - Block Surface Question ??
I am in the process of replacing my head gasket. I had the head cleaned up at the machine shop. There is no warping and the surface if perfect. - I bought a new head gasket and head bolts as well.

I cleaned up the block and got all the gasket material off. - Around number 4 and 1 cylinders, there is a little bit of roughness and some minor scratches here and there through the surface.

Bearings were replaced about 6 years ago and compression is great. - I don't really want to rebuild the block right now, but was concerned that the block surface may need some machining.

Like I said, the head is good to go, but I am wondering how lenient I can be with the block. - I did check it with a precision straight edge and feeler gauge, and there is not warping.
