How do you make your handbrake lockup?
Hi Skassa
Did you change the hand brake cable? They seem to get more flexible whith time. The guys I know who uses their AE86 for rally have hydraulic hand brakes... As far as I recall it isnt too expensive and I know that you arent going to use it as a daily driver so thats not problem either Sarcasme is just one of the things I offer Daily driver: '92 Toyota Carina E GTI Rebuilt project: '86 Levin hatch |

How do you make your handbrake lockup?
mabey you should put a litre of NOS under that "handbrake" instead? THAT would make your car loose controle!
Ofcourse you would be in the ditch with a popped headgasket and a gearknob through your heart, so I advise you on changing the handbrake cable |

Before we all go advising you to change the cable (which is not a bad idea actually), first I would like to ask if you have tried adjusting it.

How do you make your handbrake lockup?
and here comes Ivanhoe to save the day
that's the sort of thinking i realy like. not buying new items the moment a problem arise, but first check if the old ones are realy done for. Speaking of locking your rear wheels: Mine could use some adjustment as well  He attacked everything in life with a mix of extrordinary genius and naive incompetence, and it was often difficult to tell which was which. |

You could easialy just put the car two gears down to get the same effect. 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: |
