Idle problem!!! HELP!!

Hey guys. Need advice here.
My 16V is idling at 3k all the time.
No matter hot or cold.
And the temp gauge shows cols all the time.
Engine revs fine.

Temp sensor maybe??

Deleted P/S and looped the hoses at the throttle body ??

Might be the thing beneath your throttlebody (forgot the propper name) close the big hole on the bottom just in front of the butterfly when the engine has operation temperature, if the idle drops to normal the bypass valve is stuck open, you can try jet cleaner, but a 2nd hand one usually works better.
Common problem on 4 AGE´s!

Timing set right?
Air leaks somewhere, you´re running stock Intake manifold?
Check with spraying brake cleaner around the manifold, if it revs more, there is a leak somewhere...

The broken gauge doesn´t have anything to do with it, unless your termostat is stuck open and the engine does not reach any temperature, but even then it should move somehow
The sensor for the gauge sits on the front top outlet with one wire going from it (they´re about 10Euro new), while the engine temp sensor sits on the back of the head (green plug)
But I supose its not broken.

Fix the problem. Now the car idles at 1k. Thanks for the input guys.
I have cleaned that valve thoroughly and it seems to work better.
And played around with the vacuum lines. Basically blocking them all out!!

Speaking of those sensors. How much is that green one at the back?
I need a new one.

Also I changed the sensors over at the front. And the guage is still not working.
