Impreza Group-N project.
Andy,
For me personally, this is the best setup I've had sofar, but my other cars were standard GC8's, so I can't really give a good opinion about this. I have a few feedbacks from people who have quite some experience though. The guy who mapped my car here in holland is a Group-N rallydriver, (GC8 not GDB, so no comparison there ) and has mapped a fairly big amount of Impreza's here, and he said it was the best handling Impreza he drove. Another guy who raced alot of cars in life, no Impreza's though, was raving about it, and that was just on the parking lot! (pf circuit Zandvoort ) These 2 guys opinions I value because they have the experience to compare with alot of other cars. Though I must say that I did nothing at all on the suspension with this car. I just slammed the parts on my car and had the weels aligned and drove it, tweaking would come later with better suspension etc. was my plan of action. But it then I could get my hands on the other chassis and decided to wait untill that was finished. My rallyfriend has not driven this car as yet, but he will help with the setup on my new project. He is actually building a Group-A Legacy with newest internals, it will be quite a car!! @Speed-inc. That an Impressive amount of gear you have there, my stuff came from a guy here in Holland who also had a candy-cave full of goodies like that. I'll post up a picture later. I got your email reply but had no time to reply, will do so soon. greets |

Impreza Group-N project.
So today I finally got a place to put the 2 cars in.
I've been waiting for 4 month's now. Monday I will start working on it with a friend of mine, starting with the dashboard. I think that'll be the most difficult and time consuming part. Aram happy. |

Impreza Group-N project.
So, the first day of the new project has ended.
This morning my friends Alex and Dick were at my door. So we started right away with tearing out the dashbord, the last hour of my GL had begun...*snif* Pics: Dash out of the GL: Dick doing his thing: Ehh.... R.I.P. GL 24-12-2007 Dick happy: Alex is a bit confused: Fortunatly we could use the brackets we made for the GL, we spent alot of time fabricating those. But the dash was a bit crooked when it was in the GL and this time around I wanted it perfect, so a bit of modification was required. It's not finished of course but I couldn't resist putting in the centre console, also to see if it was in straight: Thursday we continue, hopefully we can get as much done as today. |
