Intake Manifold
Hey guys, I'm new here! I recently bought my first Toyota Sprinter Trueno GTV '83.
It is fitted with a Silvertop 4A-GE 20V engine. But the problem is that I have no intake manifold for it, and I would realy like to have one. So does anyone know where I can get a hold of a manifold that would fit the Silvertop? Or should I just make my own? Was any other Toyota fitted with a similar manifold? And the air temp meter, it's very silly placed right on top of the engine for some reason. Shouldnt that be in the manifold somewhere? Picture of engine bay: I live in Sweden and to my knowledge the Silvertop was never fitted in any car on our market nor possibly anywhere in Europe. |

maybe you can order some stacks + filsters @ technotoytuning ? about the intake temp. sensor, you might relocate it close to one of the intake runners? '87 levin coupé |

You wont find an intake manifold that fits unfortunately, because it will face the wrong way from the factory engine. (the intake will be facing towards the firewall)
I would reccomend getting some trumpets on the end, and building a box around them with an air filter from there. Avoid filter socks. |

you can use the orginial by turning it around. But trumpets sound much nicer

Okey, so building my own manifold seems to be the way here then.
I was thinking of getting trumpets since that would be an easy install, plus I already have a set of 4 trumpet socks from Pipercross. Roman, how come you think I should avoid the socks?? The problem with this fit would be the risk of getting unwanted dirt into manifold which is something I realy wouldnt want. And the car build will not be focused soley on performance. |
