Intake... Sensors ?

I've notice that my car doesn't have this Sensor. Is there a way I can bypass that?



for those of you who viewed my video of my engine trying to rev. would that little valve sensor be causing the problem ?

and the vacuum sensor I have, under the sensor is broken off, not the hose going in the side of it but the hose running from the bottom of it. The bottom hose just connects to the intake tube right ?

Thats not a sensor but a solenoid valve. Dunno what that one controls, but I'm sure that others do.
The second one should be the TVIS actuation solenoid. If you have loose vacuum connections anywhere in a Mass Air Sensored car, it will run like crap.

The thing circled in the second picture is unknown to me. Since your from the US, I'd stake my money on it being some emissions-related crap (charcoal/evap canister?).
By the way, the TVIS solenoid is located under the inlet manifold.. so that is most definately not it.

Dunno what the solenoid in the top picture is for, but if yours doesnt have it, you'd best make sure that whatever it's supposed to be connected to is blocked off to avoid vacuum leaks as NoHachi already said.

Neither have anything to do with TVIS. The first one is the idle up VSV and plumbs into the air intake (pipe nearest VSV) and the little outlet on top of the throttle body designated N (pipe at the end of VSV). The second is an aircon idle up valve and plumbs into the throttle body and air filter box. Can't recall which pipe goes where though.
