Hey!!
I can only say that I would definately go for it! And if what you say about the rust part is true. Then I would buy it any day! The 4AGE swap isn't that hard, just get a complete one with harness and all. Then it's out with the bad and in with the new. That car is a pearl, wish mine was is that shape  But for now I have to work hard, just to get it on the road. Good luck with the purchase Regards Lars Veiss, Denmark Currently [URL=http://www.aeu86.org/viewtopic/dk-ae86-renovation-and-turbo-project---now-driveable/t/2474/start=150[/URL] |

I would say yes to this. If I could go out an buy an AE86 for $250 (£150 approx) I would go tomorrow and make it my project car, even if it is an SR5. With very little money you could get that car running with a brand new engine. You can even find a 20V silvertop in the states for $300, and on a body like that it wouldn't matter of you bashed in the firewall to get it to fit. Everything else after that would be small bits over time to get it running to specification.
For me, it would no doubt be a yes. |

You would need the complete harness (there is no other than engine/ecu harness), ECU and engine. dont know how things are in the US, but here in Europe, an engine with all the harness and ecu would range from 300-600 eur (500-1000 $), depending on the condition of the engine.
If the car really has that little rust, the chassis alone is worth much more. If you have the place to work on your car, than go for it. The swap itself is pretty straightforward, and the rest of the car is more or less basic in design, so its a pleasure to work on. |
