Hi Paz,

That's cool. I'd be sick to death of mine too if I put as much work into it in tight confines in freezing weather as you've just done!

Yeah, I realise the F20 swap's an issue of budget / power. There's nothing to say you won't get it all working OK after ironing out the inevitable challenges that come with a swap like this.

If I'm not mistaken, from memory and from seeing my engine compared to standard ones, TRD mounts are slightly shorter than standard ones, so this might cause further problems with clearance and perhaps with dropping the F20 engine closer to the ground too?

Maybe a solution for the chassis rail would be to strip the area where it's close and paint it with high temp red paint...? Or you could cut away a part of it, then re-build it slimmer, with strengthening inside (Or both!?)
Or take off the exhaust manifold cut it and re-weld about 1.5cm closer to the engine block?

I guess you just gotta try it and see if there's interference and if so where , then deal with come what may..

Once you're all done and it works good, make a kit so other mere mortals can copy it - or some detailed instructions. You'd maybe sell a few to recoup some of your costs that way?

Keep us posted!

Well it works! I had a serious oil burning issue but apparently its a common fix with the breather. It dumps oil into the intake manifold under breaking followed by a sharp right turn/accleration.. Modified the breather setup and the drain baffle under the cam cover to suit, hopefully this will fix my issue.. And aside from that, and killing my bumper, the car ran faultlessly it seems.

But yeah onto the business side of things! I got it mapped and made 215hp and 175ft/lbs of torque. Odd that torque is up and HP is down on the predicted levels... But im pretty sure its the manifold thats losing me 15-20hp. So i'll be making another with 100% equal length runners, as my current manifolds runners are far from equal length. But for now, its fast enough and has massive amounts of traction and grip, linear power is so good for fast drifting!

Onto the pics..

So, i need to clean and finish the interior, hook a few more gauges up and re-paint it as im really not happy with the paint.. And get driving!
