JDM DIY Big Brake Kit

this is my project brakes issue.
i have used
s13 spindle
s13 hub
gtr caliper
gtr 296mm/1.25inch thick rotor
7075 t6 aluminum block
15inch te37v 9.5j -20offset
subaru legacy shocks(tein flex full tap
ae86 camber top
gtr brake lines
r32 master cylinder

i have cut the tierod connection from the s13.
flattened the s13 control arm mount bolt.
transefered same distance of holes from ae86 bottom strut mount bolt to s13 spindle.
drilled holes to spindle with 12mX1.12tread pattern.
install spindle to ae86 control arm
install shocks
adjust ride height
adjust damper
install brakes
bleed brakes.
drive car.

i did not weld on anything. no welding occured on this project.
max spending
10,000 yen for tools.
pick up parts from friends"i can't use this parts anymore" locker.

you can use the s13 shocks to but ae86 top mounts have to be used. to use 14 inch wheels if have to use the s13 calipers. there is a very small space. between wheels. BY using s14sr20det calipers or z32 calipers on a 14 inch. it will grind on the wall of the wheel. best bet is using a 15inch wheel. 300mm rotor can be put on there by using a gtr calipers. a lot of space left. mines work good. i really like it. it stops like a champ. as i said i made this block but with the same dimension with the t3 block it will work the same.

the tie rod plate is now mounted tru the block. i wanted to use the old block that i have but the gt-r rotor shield is hitting the ae86 control arm. i am using a subaru legacy tein flex. its the same bolt length with the s13 but i have to grind off 1/16 of an inch where the arm is. since i cant find a tein flex for s13. everyone here in japan loves tein on nissans so its hard to find and very expensive so i went to a different rout. by utilizing the subaru legacy b4. edfc photos will be posted soon.

maybe a silly question but why didn't you use the s13 nuckle as it is, along with the s13 lowerarms (more track) or just a matching balljoint on the AE86 arm?

Is it the AE86 NRCA u have to use ?
Are you using the s13 front damper casing?
How thick does the nrca have to be ?

well, i test drive it in the mountain(mount fuji) last night. it handles fine at a high speed. brakes well too. i asked our mechanic(japanese)/time attack driver. he liked it. the way it handles, easy suspension/dampening adjustment since we installed the tein edfc.
the negative about this project that i know off would be the wheel fitment. I cant use 14 inch anymore. all my wheels are 14 inch. i just got the te37v's. in case of flat(out). more photos tonight.
