Are you planning to add some protection on the floor?
Do you mean a coating underneath the car to protect it from rusting? Probably. For the time being, I'm only going to drive it during dry weather and not in winter. I don't have winter tires for it and probably never will. But yeah, protection will be worth it eventually.

Or do you mean the wooden floor in the barn? No idea, I'll have to ask the farmer who owns it.

Please do put some proper undersealing on the car bottom. Even if you don't intend to drive in winter or bad weather. Especially the later is very unpredictable in our lovely country Wink

Yes I meant underseal. I regret never doing it for the Carina. It is still relatively rust free, but it would have been better if I had done it nine years ago.

Yes, definitely on the list of todos.

More immediate todo: Get a car cover to protect it from dust and the farm cat - it's putting a lot of hair and some snot as well (it's a bit sickly, sneezing all the time).

Here's the new lenses from the AW11:

This means legal position lights (or in Toyota-speak: "clearance lights").

Looks a lot more EUDM now! Wink
But at least it is now legal to drive. Thumbs up!

Yep, it does. But that's probably the largest extent of EUDM it will look, except for the licence plates. Smile

Will check my funds this month and see if I can afford the HKS Legal exhaust this month or if I should wait for next month.

Also, found a guy who has experience in building 4A-GEs close to my place. Might ask him to help me with doing the valve job and installing high-comp pistons. Saw his work in a 4A-GE swapped Celica TA22 (that was actually road legal here, totally insane).
Had some 11.5:1 pistons, 272 cams, a Magnaflow exhaust and a cone filter.

So, got around to cleaning the exterior from all the cat hair, dust and stuff that the car has collected during the trip from Germany and from standing in the barn. I also received the Supra headlamps - they're pretty rusty and I will cover up the rust with some protective paint before they go in the car.

Now the car has a proper cover to protect it from dust and cats. Next week I'll inform myself about what other things I need to do to get the car registered in Switzerland.

Sure thing! Let's just hope it's road legal by the time.
