Small update and a heads up for anyone who wants to use their 86 on the Autobahn. I just ordered these tall 5th gears to make the car more agreeable to drive at 120km/h on the Swiss Autobahn. I'll post updates once they've arrived and they're in.
And in other news: I've not posted for such a long time that there's been lots of stuff going on, some 86-related, most of it just general-car-related. First off, I have a really proper floor now. My garage is now epoxy coated. This is the best thing ever - easy clean, super smooth, doesn't feel super cold, oil and solvent resistant. ![]() And I've acquired a workshop tool cart and a new work bench. Makes it so much easier to keep organized while working by always putting the tools back where they belong in the first place. ![]() Then I've finally received the wheels from the guy doing the restorations, after he had some health issues and other trouble. They came out really great. I'll be ordering some A052 for these for a 100% Advan combo. ![]() |

Those Advans look beautiful, much nicer than the usual red on the A3A.

It was either that or the silver they also came in. Now I just need to find fitting/matching valve stems. The metal ones that came with the wheels got lost unfortunately (so no reference available). |

A3A ftw!
SSR metal valve stems should fit. If you want I can take photos of my original Advan valve stems. |

Not entirely new anymore, but here's some pictures of the finalized wheels and them mounted on the car:
