Kaboom Project #62 [KP62] & Toyota scrapyard
I started working on something, couple months ago. So to share with you ..
It's not AE86 I know, it's too expensive here for my taste. But they will pop-up here and there First of all quick history I've started late 2004. - early 2005. with AE82 GT.. in a poor condition. Boy meets world After few years working and learning mechanic with my friends, I've done bodywork, paintwork and lots of mechanic on it. So it shined and buzzed happily everywhere it could But every story must end eventually..: This ended at late 2008 with crash, when young girl just learning to drive took my right to pass at intersection Toyota scrap yard car park = AE92GTi - AE82GT - KE30 - KP62 |

After couple of months being Dazed and confused (as Led Zeppelin sings it ), started to thinking of some nice project. First my aim was AE85 and conversion to AE86.. but something nicer poped-up - Starlet KP62
Before I bought any car, i bought working AE86 rear axle With this project started.. End then Kp62 joined 1 month later, I came across accidentally on KP60. And soon he joined me to, as a parts car And that is how I got started working on a new fun car Kaboom project Toyota scrap yard car park = AE92GTi - AE82GT - KE30 - KP62 |

First order of bussines was to dismantle very very rusted KP60 parts car because I didn't have space to keep it longer than few months..
To me funny stock front suspension Tried to save every part .. Even complete wire loom.. that was easy cause Starlet is on carbs 1.0 engine and gearbox was out.. Dream team.. LOL Good friend who helped me with all of this so far Can anybody go lower ... The easy way of dismantle rear axle .. After stripping everything I could, KP60 went on recycling scrapyard.. And it's out I rented a garage with my close friend, took as many parts as I could from storage and we moved in as we call it "Toyota world of dreams garage" Close friend is working on AE86.. and really awesome (but slow) work on it. Engine that is waiting to go under the hood of KP62 And two close friends who helped me a lot.. and wiil bi helping. Guy in the middle is owner of this AE86 in the garage Toyota scrap yard car park = AE92GTi - AE82GT - KE30 - KP62 |

I've started on dismantleing the KP62, and my friend after 1 year of awesome bodywork he done himseft started on protecting the welds and underbody.
Interesting thing - comparison of KP62 steering link and AE86 one. KP62 is longer.. 1.2 engine and gearbox out That's it for now .. we are working on custom engine and gearbox mounts right now Will post updates Toyota scrap yard car park = AE92GTi - AE82GT - KE30 - KP62 |
