To be honest Kris, I don´t like what you have done to the engine bay. The colour is all wrong, and just painting parts here and there doesn´t give any kind of symmetry.
Looking close, I noticed that you have 2 different oil-caps, why is that, and why haven´t you at least painted them too? Why 2 air filters? the inlet to the throttle body is still limited, so I doubt that there are any real performance gains there. Should have dumped the extra filter, for weight savings instead! Don´t get me wrong, i like your hachi, it´s all drift! But the details seems a bit sloppy! Don´t be to insulted, just noticed that you really wanted comments, and here´s my 2 cents worth. And remember, taste CANNOT be disgussed, so some might like it, some might not. You like it, and that´s all that really matters. about the catch can setup,
i was runing 1/8mile yesterday i mine, and i had done a really bad thing with the outside oildrainback in the compressor block, i thourght that i could use it for a extra breather, but when accelerating, there is actully comming oil out of the return,so after about 8-10runs,the was 0,5ltr of pure oil in my catchcan,so the hoses is now bloked. This meens that when it is connectet to the head,it will push oil into the head, and it´s suposed to be a oil return ? And by the way, your car looks just fine. Quite true Peter - I like your comments - They are honest & not insulting. The colour was just something i fell for when i painted the brakes. So that colour was to be in the enginebay aswell. As for the twin airfilters - this has been my trademark for 2 years now & i´will keep it this way. Also the twin set-up does give about 20-25% more air. Depending on the filters fitted (K & N) Oilfillercaps are ordered (TRD chrome copy´s) but still haven´t gotten them. All the parts that matter will be this colour soon,, & the enginebay will be painted white this summer. i just wanted something different looking & this really does the trick - like you say.. either you like it - Or you don´t & the people that have met me really do know that i want to be differnet than the the next guy. & you know me by now - hehehe Kristian look at the picture - here is what it looked like b4. - a big improvement atleast ey ! ? I'm also not so crazy about all the blue in the engine bay, although I dont think that the colour is the problem, you just need something for contrast. Maybe black, white or polished steel would look nice with that colour blue?
For example if you put the sparkplug cover back in place and paint it or polish it the engine would look better already I think. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |
