Ground clearance is a little worst than with the stock exhaust, but it's completely usable for the streets. I've not touched on anything (and where I live is full of speed bumps and ditches) except for my parking ramp which has an idiotic slope I have to try to raise the exhaust because it's a matter of 1 cm.

About the cat connects, my car was catless from the factory, so I don't know!

After reading Lt86's last post it dawned on me that some (if not all) of the EU models weren't originally equipped with cats. As a result it seems the Martelius unit doesn't have a provision for one.

In Belgium we are lucky enough to be free of any regulations regarding emissions on oldtimer vehicles. I don't think there would be any reason for me to keep the cat

From some preliminary researh I've done... France and Germany were the 2 Euro countries with some emissions requirements - they got cat equipped(9.4 to 1 compression). Other areas in Europe(and Singapore from my research) came without the cat(10 to 1 compression)

as far as I'm aware the CR difference was tied to MAP or AFM versions and not strictly to the CAT. My friends car was an 87 and had to have a CAT but no O2 sensor and no 10:1 CR as it was a AFM car. They did lot's of mixing with the emission parts all over Europe. in the Toyota Parts Catalog they differntiate between models for Switzerland/Sweden and Europe for the LHD european market.

not Europe... Japan had MAP and cat and 9.4 to 1

Indeed japan have map with cat & o2 sensor.
Euro with cat are MAF
Euro without cat were map & have no o2 sensor. For pollution, these versions have a green potentiometer

Db goes from 100db to under 95db normally with no performance loss just 2kg more
