cannabolic Wrote:The reason I asked was that I wanted to order a pair golf mk1 arches and 'm not sure if I and the shop was talking about the same arches, cause they asked me if I want 3d or 5d. Did the mk1 come in a 5d version? They did, but back then having more doors was more expensive... Nowadays less doors means "coupe" or "sportsmodel" and thus more expensive. ![]() ![]() ![]() But I think the 3 door arches are easier to fit. ![]() Daywalker: sorry for the offtopic. ![]() Keep up the good work! ![]() 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: ![]() |

+1 for the fiberglass trunk...No more rust plus you shave off some serious weight! Anyway, good job so far! Man you've got guts, I would never try to build up a car in such condition, unless I had something like 50.000 euros to spend on it! Keep it up mate!

I would also cut out the rear boot well completely and weld in a flat steel plate will look much better and save having to grind and flat the little patches
