Robo, thats not a bad thing, the tape is just to keep it in place. Sway bars work on torsion strength which is caused by the metal being twisted (left side goes up, right side goes down, sway bars do nothing when both sides go up or down). So there is nothing wrong with this setup although mounting it on normal brackets will increase effectiveness, there is some slack in taping it.

There are metal clamps on all the taped up places as well if you look carefully. Should help a little bit, but mounting a stiffer one is better.

I'm pretty sure that 2 clamped swaybars are stronger then one aftermarket.
To support that i'm adding this chart from whiteline's web page http://www.whiteline.com.au/docs/bulletins/010barup.pdf Drifting - best fun you can have in your car with your pants on! |

IMO 2 clamped swaybars doesnt have any effect atall! The only way, is to mount a stiffer one, or weld the to swaybars together. Just cut the bracket on number 2 and weld it on number 1.. Then it wouldnt look like shit either

Ill still hold my money on the stiffer swaybar, or the welded one. Clamps has their limits, and they arent as strong as people might think. Some day, when the metal goes tired, they will break. And if that happens during an emergency handling, you might be fuckd
