Lowering Height
Hi,
I'm very confused about what lowering springs should i buy. I want to lower my hachi about 4 to 6 cm. I see many springs from different brands for sale but they only refer the spring rate and not the lowering height. Anyone knows what is the lowering height of different spring brands? I'm more interested in TRD springs, anyone knows how much they lower the car? Thks |

There are many lowering ones and few making sence. Too low/hard is making you mostly slower on the street, but looking good

Yes, you can.
Especially if you use lower spring/shorter shocks - coilovers are good idea ! |

Just use regular springs for those koni's.. coilovers wont do any better, but the advatage of coilovers is that it's cheaper to buy springs and find a springrate you like.

TRD springs make for a bone-jarring ride in the commonly available 8/6 front/rear springrate combo. They are also way too short for regular springs, you will be riding on the bumpstops more than is preferable. I'd suggest buying a complete set from 1 manufacturer (maybe swift, thay offer some).
If comfort is a priority, and you dont have big wheels that will scrape if the rise is too soft, then getting a pair of cheapo Cobra springs from ebay.de and adjusting the koni's to the desired firmness works fine too. This however is not the best you can get in terms of performance, and they will eventually sag a bit, but you cant really go wrong for 80 euro's.. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

Hum...
I found the website of Whiteline Suspensions. Any one had already tried Whiteline Springs? Ivan: Do you know if eibach have lowering springs for the AE86? I have them in my 106 S16 and i like them, they give some confort on a daily use and have a fair performance on the track. |
