MCNSPORT latest ae86 project **MUST SEE**
Just simple question:
Why in the hell you didnt reworked IC inlets to go straight to the engine side instead of going to the top? This would saved you 1 bend on eatch side and saved some flow speed Everything else looks nice! Well I suppose it's a bit better then a front-mounted IC, but the lack of airflow is a minus. As you already said this is not a big issue for a drift car as you wont be using boost for extended periods of time.
A too big IC is a great heat-sink so will cool air down pretty good, but introduces much lag. Your V-mount seems to be a nice middle size.. big enough heatsink, not so big as to introduce lag. I wouldnt choose this type of setup on a track car unless I could make sure that enough cold air flows through the IC. In your configuration only a bit of shroudingaround the IC and an exit vent in the hood would make this possible. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |
