MCNSPORT latest ae86 project **MUST SEE**
Darren the best thing to try and do with people like him is ignore them, as after a while of being ignored they just give up. Well that's what i've found anyways. I'm liking the cars, and if I can afford it am gonna try and go over Ireland to see the Prodrift Ireland at some point.
(P.S- I have a mate who you talk to on msn quick often, also has the name of Darren, has been asking ya alot about the N2.) DJ AE86 FTW! |

awesome work mate. Dont worry about old mate. He is a lil cut cause he has a sprinter with similar mods.. we also have to put up with is mindless lectures on HR.com.au
The car is not my taste of what a 86 should be, but fuck me this thing is amazing not so much the work (which is still impressive) but the detail and the lil things are fantastic i think only someone who actually drives their cars and drives them well and hard would know to put the lil touches and things into his or her builds as you have demonstrated in this one! Keep up the good work and i might have to hit you up for a dash!! Love AE86? Visit us @ HR |

awesome If you ever need a hachi builder
btw what I just don't understand is why to put the IC at that position? is it better for the airflow or something ? And is the chassis adjustments strong enough to hold the s14 sub frame? And how much does the s14 sub frame weighs compared to the ae86 axle ? I widened my arches in advance in case I wanted to use a different rear setup. So how "easy"is the S14 conversion ? Alignment etc? Any more cars on the build numbers? hmmz good point. but I am not a real brain in turbo cars. (acutally only know how to work a 4age NA
So the shorter it is the better? But what about the tubing of the IC won't that heat up and take a way a bit of power? Cars: "99 Lexus IS200 "86 AE86 Kouki Panda Levin GT-Apex (restore project) "84 AE86 Zenki Blue Levin (project racer) Motorcycles: "02 Yamaha R1 "02 Honda Hornet S "08 BMW R1200GS |

I can imagine the airflow being pretty shit without a vent to the hood.
The IC piping is not THAT much shorter to make it worthwile, more bends are introduced this way but it's certainly something different. It probably doesnt matter much since the intercooler works more like a heat sink for short bursts of power use. Meaning that it soakes up all the heat while your giving it hell, only to cool off slowly in the bits in between. No intercooler is so efficient that it immediately cools down from the passing airflow. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

There are many advantages of a v mount intercooler system
the distance from the turbo to the throttle body is half compared to a front mount which equals less lag 99% of people run too big of a front mount intercooler and this can cause more lag again Drift cars are only used in short bursts as opposed to many laps and less lag is more important then searching for cooler intake temps @Ivan141, are you saying that this setup has more bends than a front mount intercooler??? @Robokill, yes the mounts are strong enough? the ae86 axle is still lighter than a subframe setup and it is a rear pain to fit it takes many hours of measuring and cutting and welding and measuring again MCNSPORT.com Jap, European, Drift, Drag, Circuit, Road, Race, Rally Tel: +353 (0)2223334 Mob: +353 (0)866063716 (Darren) / +353 (0)876616567 (Peden) E-mail: [email protected] Web: http://www.mcnsport.com - NEW WEBSITE COMING: Feb, 2009! |
