Miles Per Gallon ??
Hi guys,
Probably a question that has been ask loads of times, but here goes. I am think of getting an 86, however I will need to use it to commute to work everyday. What kind of MPG can I expect to get on motorway runs with a standard engine?? Thanx Si. |

No Idea what the mpg is but mine does about 13 km per liter or roughly 8.5 liter per 100 km for normal to spirited driving.
It did the ring with about 9km per liter. So I'd say its relative fuel efficient Greetz, Bastiaan "mux213" Olij Moved down under, no more hachi |

about 25 - 30 mpg unless you have some motorway stuff. I have also found that the twistier the road the worse the fule consumption for some reason.

should be better on the motorway, maybe 35 mpg, lower gearing won't help, might need to go slower !

by the way people,
Si.G is my brother - I cannot give him any useful mpg figures because I only get about 220kms off of a full tank LOL. Combination of heavy right foot and ITBS I think. Regards Ian. |

A brothers in hachi or something
Thats not very good fuel economy Ian, but is that mostly taken during drift events and trackdays or have you also tried some long distance driving? During track events and such you tend to ask alot of an engine and that costs fuel. Engine is only fuel efficient running a constant speed, excelerating is the fuel eater Greetz, Bastiaan "mux213" Olij Moved down under, no more hachi |
