Well I guess they figured that they had fully checked my car already and seeing the work I've done on it trusting that I would have changed the joint. Also I dont know if the guy walked outside, opened the hood and checked it, he doesn't have to have driven the car away for that Smile

But I'm not complaining..

Congrats! I see most mechanics really dig hachis (if they know them) and help out w/ mot and stuff.. I had no chance of making the mot but i still passed. The two mechanics checking it out were literaly blind folded =) - after i explained what i had gone through for this car..

The exhaust levels were 3 times as much as they are allowed, i had a leaking, un-oem, and too loud exhaust. tyres were some i found inthe bushes (litterally - in some bushes). front were M+S, rear summer. both dating around 1994 =).. my handbrake was streched.. my backup lightst are always on, i had no grill and my horn wasnt working.. at the end he said - "perfect conditon" :wink: "i bet it will look even better next year"

Dear God,

It's been 5 months since my last update.... And now I got a new exhaust!!!

I was getting really sick with the noice my riceaust was producing. It looks nice but thats where it ends..

So after looking around I found there wasn't that much choice unless if you want to replace the whole thing front to back. I didn't want a stock replacement muffler but something that would most like sound nice and still look good.

Janspeed would have been the obvious choice but it doesn't fit on the stock manifold and I didn't feel like spending 800+ euros just yet.

So my mate Speedline started calling around and it turned out one of his suppliers in finland had an AE86 racing exhaust in stock. They have a choice of normal and performance headers for AE86 and they have a racing exhaust for the normal header and had another exhaust for the performance headers.

So I went for that exhaust and in the future I may get the header aswell just to make it look good. It isn't a stainless exhaust, but I am very happy about the quality.

Hopefully will be mounted on the car tomorow Smile

Only downside.... My exhaust is now so quiet in the car, I can hear my differntial wine again... its never good.... Smile
